The Evening Primrose
A warm dry summer evening
when the dusk starts to loom,
there in the garden grows a gem
where evening primroses bloom.
They brighten up the evening
a stunning translucent gold,
stately flowers, that open at night
for morning their petals will fold.
Some say they are a weed
and think they should be pulled,
sun goes down the show begins
and has the gardener fooled.
A medicinal plant in days of old
it`s properties were used much,
many ailments they did heal
bearing natures magical touch.

very beautiful, willow
so many wild flowers are much more beautiful than ones you find at a florist. You just have to look for them beside and highways. Thanks for another lovely poem.
joyce
thankyou Joyce
yes I love wild flowers also, and herbs,
I have a great interest in healing with herbs going back to nature so to speak,
thanks for your kind words Joyce they are most appreciated from Willow
