Two years ago we lost our dog
sadly his lifetime was up,
a friend we will never forget
and to us was still a pup.

A handsome german shepherd dog
affectionate,and loyal was he ,
wherever dogs that leave us go
we pray he runs happy and free.

We now have ourselves another
for our love to give and share,
from the internet, there was Misty
under unwanted dogs needing care.

She`s another german shepherd
donated to the police force,
but she was no good to them
was much too soft of course.

The policeman took her home
and trained her up for his wife,
after three years his wife took ill
and Misty threatened by life.

We couldn`t let them put her down
she just had to come home with us,
and couldn`t have wished for better
all she wanted was love and a fuss.

The love that we both give her
she gives back to us threefold,
just adores children and babies
for Misty has a heart of gold.

We never forget our old dog
and never do try to compare,
they all have their own characters
and they all need love and care.
