A rainbow arched across the sky
when we were but kids at play,
the wonder of it pleased the eye
`twas on a rain and sunny day.

We heard tell at the rainbows end
there would be a pot of gold,
so I along with my dearest friend
this myth would try to unfold.

Athough we would never reach the ends
couldn`t figure which ends were near,
and how far off the rainbow extends.
or would the rainbow just disappear.

Maybe try again on another day
give us time to work out a plan
to find a full proof strategy,
then run as fast as we can.
