Under a cold February Sky
when bulbs peep through the ground,
through hard and wet clods of earth
nature`s treasures to be found

Spring flowers in the making
green shoots pushing through,
against the biting wind and frost
daffodils, and hyacinths of blue

There is a weather warning
clouds gather to promise snow,
and hide the moon high above
sending flakes to the earth below.

Just above the snowline
are shades of yellow and blue,
for spring flowers are strong
and there to greet you too.

A magical scene in the morning
to awaken and open our eyes,
on a snowy floral carpet
under a cold february sky.
