Whose Stolen My Teeth

A strangest thing happened
I went to bed last night
and left my teeth soaking
to keep them nice and white

I woke up next morning
my teeth no more were there
I was in a dreadful panic
like, without teeth I`m bare.

I know I wasn`t visited
by tooth fairies in the night,
for they hadn`t left a penny
and if they had ,they might.

my sleep was rather restless
I tossed and turned all night,
then to arise next morning
to find I`d lost my bite

I wakened up my husband
he asked me what was up
told him I had lost my teeth
they were soaking in the cup.

He sat up and faced me ,
rubbing his tired eyes
and laughed out real loud
I didn`t think that was wise

He said go look in the mirror
so got myself out of my bed
give yourself a great big smile
no gums! but teeth instead.

Looked like I was dreaming
my teeth were in my mouth
for the older that I get
I go north instead of south.

:)

This one made me laugh. I love the last line, it gave me a good visual. Thank you!
