Fallen Rain

And the rain would fall,
Onto my soul to douse the flames of my burning emotions, only to leave the red-hot embers of fury in its stead

And the rain would fall,
Onto the ashes of the fate that would have been, but will never be, suffocated in the oppression the world grips it with.

And the rain would fall,
From my eyes to the earth to connect ourselves to the place where we shall be in many years to come, to feed the dirt, to feed the seeds, to feed the need, the need for life.

And the rain would fall,
To the beat of my heart that’s pounds would press on, supplying my spirit with the essence to live on the heat of the moment, and out, without fail, and never gives up hope until the end.

And the rain would fall,
Steady and steady, and rapid and churning, with wind from every angry breath, every care-worn sob, to paint a storm against the lids of our eyes.

And the rain would fall,
Getting faster and faster, attacking the ground as though in punishment for staying so far away, and the sigh of the wind and screech of the trees would admit the feeling behind the assault.

And the rain would fall,
Growing slower and slower, caressing the ground as though in apology for past mistakes, and witnesses nearby stay blind to the similarity to predicaments that stand.

And the rain would fall,
Drip drop and drip drop, the sound that’s now heard, plants kisses upon the leaves, and the soil, and our outstretched fingertips.

And the rain would fall,
To the rate of my breath that calms with the wind, but continues on, relinquishing nothing to the dimming wrath of the opened sky.

And the rain would fall,
From the clouds to my eyes, to replenish what was lost, connecting ourselves to the place where we shall be in years to come, to answer an unspoken plea with whispers of 'wait'.

And the rain would fall,
Onto the fate that is destined to be, and will always be, revived by the rain and its comfort wrapped in each tear it sheds.

And the rain would fall,
Onto my soul to awaken the dream never known to exist, leaving the corpse of rage in its wake.

And the rain would fall.
And the rain will fall.
And the rain did fall.

wow!!!

Your poem took my breath away.

Powerful piece

Moving piece,it really gets a hold of you.{all the magic of this world,
dwells within you,
an eternity of years,
and its all you ever needed to know.}

Aw, thanks!

Thank you! That's the kind of effect I was going for. The poem just hit my brain, and I felt I needed to let the words flow out my pencil before I lost them to the abyss.

You noticed

Wow. I wasn't sure if anyone would notice the way I tried to crescendo, then slowly back down to reach a soft conclusion. Thank you for your perceptiveness! I'm very glad you picked up on that.

Wonderful feelings of passion contained in this piece~~!
I really enjoyed reading the phrase "whispers of wait"!
Deep emotions come to the heart in this poem of love and nature!

=]

I thank you for your wonderful feedback on this poem, old aspirations. This one is one of my favorites that I've written, and I'm glad that others enjoy it =]. I enjoyed writing the line "Whispers of wait," a lot, too. I also cannot tell you how elated I am that you believe the emotion came through. This poem came from a spark of inspiration, and I ran with it, and I am very glad that others can feel the emotions as I did!!

One emotion can impact the entire world--but it needs to be done.
