Secret of Life ?
If I love you extra hard
will you feel it over there
between the daily drumming of life
and the quiet gazing of the moon
will you hear the echo in my chest
from a heart that beats alone
a cavernous craving..
for you.
Won't you come to me soon
in my simple world
nothing is simple
about love...
James Taylor says the Secret to Life is" enjoying the passing of time.."
Is it all that simple ? Will we feel rewarded and worthy at the end if we only worry about our enjoyment ? Or does our enjoyment come from living a good and rewarding life, and spending it in the service of others... These days, people seem only interested in their own comfort and cravings. And what about love ? where does that fit in ? Do we need love to enjoy life ? Do we need to give to love to feel rewarded and worthy ??
What do you think ??

I read this earlier today and wanted to read it again, good questions. I thought about them. I would guess people find enjoyment in so many ways for me it is service to others. Good read. Thanks for sharing. raskin

secret of life
I meant to answer this a week or two ago....
I think, I KNOW we are all worthy, worthy of love and of living a good life. Seems that only each individual can decide for themselves even they feel they need to be rewarded or feel rewarded. As long as we are true to ourselves and the path we are meant to follow (which we may spend a lifetime trying to walk down), then perhaps that will be its own reward.
There is no question in my mind about whether or not we need to be loved or love to be happy. That is the one thing that I could not imagine living without. It is that simple for me, it is never a question.
I take care of people all day in my profession. I have taken care of my loved ones just in daily living. It is my reward to myself to be able to write and finally reach a point of sharing.
