spiraling down this hall

walking down this hall,
this long hall,
i feel i'm in a cylinder,
i can fly.
spiral one way, then the other,
spiral while i fly.
this is the part i find you,
won't you join me?
you take my hand,
and we both fly down this long hall
together.
spiraling down this hall.

loved it.

The idea of the secluded and the small space of the hall keeps the imagery controlled and therefore understandable. So many moods in the poem to interpret. it could be a feeling of newfound power, a feeling of uncertainty, or a feeling of complete obliviousness and peace. The line breaks and punctuation somehow give a sense of total silence, as if nothing else in the world is happening. There's also the aspect of what flying can represent, if anything. I'll definitely read this often.

cha-ching

Bravado of Youth

The bravado of youth and all its inherent darings to dream, dare, stumble and just revel in the adrenalin rush of it all is captured in this poem! A great read!
