I kinda thought my mom was weird
When she gave me a cherry
Saying that it would cure my broken heart
But I have no idea what that meant

She disappeared into the kitchen
And came back with a juice
Cherry Juice to be precise

After she poured a cup, then two
I started feeling woozy
Then she asked me will I marry Sam
And lying on the floor, I almost said I do

My own mother tried to trick me
But I have no idea
What the hell she meant by
"It will cure me"

And to this day, as an old lady
I keep away from cherries
Cherries and some Cherry Juice
That made me almost say 'I do...'
