Forever Riding the Long Lost Wind

I stand beside your grave and weep
You have not died, you do not sleep
You are the silent wind at dawn
You are the winter rain long gone

You are the hush of silent thoughts
You are the someone I had long lost
I refuse to believe you passed away
You have not died, you are awake

For whatever reason your leave was
I know you are never coming back because
Our love was never really meant to be
For you have died, and you sure do sleep

I am sorry, I wasn’t there
To tame the flames that began to flare
Now you are gone with the silent twist
Forever riding the long lost wind

(It’s a parody on a poem I found on my sister’s desktop. I liked it, and just created a version slightly different…copyright to the owner (of the original poem, not this one), whoever he/she may be!) However...I copyright this version...
