Never Never Hop on Mom

I wrote this for my Mom for Mothers day right after I wrote "Still Hopping on Pop"!

You can hop on your pop
Or you can hop on your brother
But never never hop on your mother

You can hop on a cousin
Or you can hop on Uncle Tom
But never never hop on your mom

You can hop on a foot
And you can hop on a lama
But never never hop on your mama

You can hop on Seattle
And you can hop on Miami
But I better not catch you hop’n on mammy

But if you get the urge
Just remember what I said
And give your mom a big hug instead

hallmark?

This is great. I think I'll write a poem for my mom too, since I'm far away and can't spend the day with her. I think hallmark would eat this up too, hope you aren't insulted. Maybe you could make some good money.

I had to make

Thanks debbie... I had to make sure that all the young'ns knew that they can't hop on their mom... This was a follw up to "Still hopping on Pop" and "Hoppa Da Papa" If you have no read them or even if you have you have got to go back and read the comments follow ing the poems ...The broken english italia... It will give you a good laugh ... espwecially the one entitled "Terdy"

Thanks again Ray

way ahead of you

I read those first as per your suggestion. Highly amusing and very informative :-).

Very Informative!

LOL ... Since they are very informative, Do you think they should be taught in our high schools?

Thangs again Debbie

well.....

As I have training in Linguistics. Yes, I do, because many forms of English including what they call broken English, a mix of English and another language such as Spanglish, and Ebonics are considered languages of their own and have grammatical structures. Bet you weren't expecting that answer!

I was thinking

I was Thinking that the information that you gathered was more in the area of "Ray has too much time on his hands" LOL!
