Life is but purgatory,
Hideous, panting beasts closing down on me,
the benevolent heavens above, shadowed by dark clouds, heavy,
never the rains nor the sun, painfully caught-up in between.

But oh Satan, when did I come to be thee??
All these bonds between one and every,
must I rejoice for I was always free,
nowhere to hide, all to hate, none to save me?

I only wish to end this strife,
yet I'll leave behind mere gore to remember me by,
and all shall think of me as weak, dense and blind,
Well, that provokes me to defy.

For I amn't any of those,
I'm facing death up-close!!
It isn't a path to the cowardly noose,
but taken by ones where fear loose.

I have reached a dead-end now!
and there's primeval abyss all around.
I grope the walls, helplessly weeping and wailing, for someway out,
civilization seems like a far away crowd.

I drop down sobbing in the corner,
my head bowed, my arms hugging my legs closer,
the last shield against the Reaper,
where is God?? Now is the eleventh hour!!

Perhaps life is just an unpleasant prologue,
in order to relish immortality, one must break through the fog,
and while doing so, one can do no wrong.
Hark! There's the strike of the gong!

The angel beckoning lovingly,
when I give-in, I would drop into the arms of Thee,
to be cradled for eternity,
and they shall forgive when they behold, by His side, (silly) me!

The end to this perdition has finally come,
Only, there's just a tinge of doubt: sheer damnation!
How would I know if you are The Fallen One?
When I hold Your hand, will I, to all else, another become??

But look!! the clouds are clearing, the beasts fading,
I have smugly stepped out, into the abyss dropping,
but so is the angel leering,
I want it to stop, I want to go back, I can't, I'm already falling..
